Seri Tanjung Pinang is the established waterfront precinct on the north shore of Penang Island, developed by Eastern & Oriental over two decades. Crown Penang sits at the heart of it, beside the completed Tamarind and within walking distance of Straits Quay Marina Mall. The location is north-shore — sea-facing, international-school-served, and five minutes from Gurney Drive.
The north shore carries a rental premium over the south: Stonyhurst International School at 400 metres drives demand from expatriate families, and Gurney Drive is the de facto social centre for the island's professional class. The trade-off is a higher absolute price point than the interior or the south coast, and denser development along the Tanjung Tokong strip. What you get is walkability, a sea-facing address and the closest thing Penang has to a mature waterfront precinct.
